Owner and master pastry chef Fran Morales acts as the Mayor of Puff City, where cream puffs reign supreme. Fran also creates specialty cakes for all occasions: birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, bridal and baby showers, and graduations to name a few. She also bakes up dazzling desserts such as temptingly tasty macaroons, overloaded blueberry muffins and fluffy, flavorful scones. Also coming out of the oven are fresh-baked mini baguettes for daily lunch special sandwiches, as well as a variety of breakfasty treats and party platters.
In Puff City, puffs are not just for dessert. People eat cream puffs at all times of the day AND night. The colorful menu board also features toasted Puff City muffins, roast turkey or ham sandwiches on a cranberry/oat/toasted walnut hoagie loaf, and grilled eggplant with a goat/cream cheese/sundried tomato spread on a wheat baguette. All of these culinary delights go well with a choice of beverages, which include French Roast coffee, British breakfast, and mango ceylon or green teas, Kona Deep bottled water, Pepsi, Diet Pepsi and Sierra Mist sodas.
Puff City is open from 7am - 2 pm Tuesday through Friday and offers traditional vanilla custard-filled cream puffs, as well as a delectable array of novel flavors: liliko'i, coconut, and chocolate custard cream with chantilly being the standards. Fran's master plan is to introduce a couple of new flavors every month! Check out the calendar to see what's scheduled for the pastry case.
Fran's regular patrons have taken to calling themselves "Puffers" (I'm a Puffer, she's a Puffer, he's a Puffer... wouldn't you like to be a Puffer too?). Buttons to follow.
Currently Puff City is enjoying a brisk take-out business. Call to order and check on availability.
